Palmerston North, Ashhurst is a very special rural
village environment. Within the boundary of our
city, the wider Ashhurst community reaches into
the Pohangina Valley and the Manawatu District,
offering both a lifestyle choice and a great day out
for locals and visitors alike.
Ashhurst's
physical location at the base of Wharite and the
entrance to the Manawatu Gorge makes for
dramatic vistas and a drive through the
Pohangina Valley is a great way to experience
these. To get up close with nature take a walk
through one of Totara Reserve's many walkways or
pack a lunch and unwind with the family at
a picnic by the river.
