Saint Mary Magdalene's is on the site of the original Anglican church in Ashhurst. St Mary Magdalene's as it is now was built in the early 1900's, although the church was established in the 1880's.

Komako

Situated at the northern end of the beautiful Pohangina valley, shaded by Native and Silver Beech trees and overlooking farmland and the river valley, the Komako Anglican church of St Bartholomew's is a picture of serenity and beauty.

A small church built in 1926, it was given an addition in the 1980's.  This church is about 20 minutes drive from Ashhurst

 

Morning services are : 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays 10 am, and 7 pm on the 3rd Sunday
